Liverpool remain admirers of Chelsea star Levi Colwill and continue to keep an eye on his situation according to reports.

Colwill signed a new long term contract with Chelsea in the summer of 2023 after a successful loan spell at Brighton.

The 22-year-old has established himself as one of the first names on Enzo Maresca’s team sheet and forms one half of the Italian’s preferred defensive partnership with Wesley Fofana.

Liverpool keeping tabs on Colwill situation

Colwill has been tipped to become a future captain by Maresca, although he’s come in for criticism for his performances this season.

Jason Cundy feels the England international is learning on the job, and Colwill would certainly benefit from some more experience in defence.

Colwill is a big fan of Maresca and has publicly praised the Italian on multiple occasions this seasons, with the defender thought to be a big part of the Chelsea project going forward.

However, that hasn’t stopped Colwill being linked with moves away and TBR Football have reported Liverpool are keeping an eye on the defender’s situation.

The report adds the Premier League leaders remain admirers of the defender, whilst the Reds are thought to have made contact with Cowill’s camp to assess the situation before this summer’s transfer window.

Colwill has been previously linked with a move to Liverpool, before he committed his long term future to his boyhood club.

A player of Colwill’s quality is always likely to have suitors sniffing around, but for Chelsea to even consider selling it’s safe to say it would take a huge offer.
