The champions are welcomed back to Anfield today and will be greeted by a guard of honour from their title ‘rivals’ Arsenal. After winning the Premier League title with four games to spare, Arne Slot picked a rotated lineup as Liverpool fell to a 3-1 defeat to Chelsea last weekend.
Wataru Endo and Harvey Elliott were both awarded their first Premier League starts of the season, whilst Jarell Quansah, Kostas Tsimikas and Curtis Jones all came back into the starting lineup.
After starting all of the 34 Premier League games prior, Ryan Gravenberch was given the day off completely but is expected to return for this one.
In terms of injuries, Joe Gomez remains the only major injury blow for the Reds with Arne Slot having a strong squad to pick from for this one. With that being said, let’s take a look at our predicted lineup for this one…

Alisson Becker will keep his place in between the sticks for this one, whilst backup Caoimhin Kelleher expected to leave the club this summer.
At right-back, Arne Slot has already confirmed that Conor Bradley will start ahead of Trent Alexander-Arnold after the 26-year-old announced his intention to leave the club upon the expiry of his contract next month.
On the opposite side of the defence, Andy Robertson will come back into the side for Kostas Tsimikas.

There’ll be one more change in the back line as Ibou Konate will also likely return to partner the captain Virgil Van Dijk at the heart of the defence.
Verdict: Alisson, Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson
Despite his impressive performance last weekend, Wataru Endo will drop back out of the starting lineup and Ryan Gravenberch will take his place. Curtis Jones will also drop down to the bench and Alexis Mac Allister will also return to the side.

Harvey Elliott missed a huge opportunity to show his worth in a rare start against Chelsea last weekend and will likely resume his position in the dugout for this one. In his place, Dominik Szoboszlai is the favourite to come into the side against an Arsenal midfield that will be full of physicality and work rate.
Verdict: Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai
Slot will be faced with a usual selection headache for this one when it comes to selecting his central striker.
Mohamed Salah will of course keep his place on the right-wing with his sights set on the Premier League assist record.
On the opposite side, Cody Gakpo will keep his place on the left-wing, whilst Luis Diaz will be deployed down the middle.

The likes of Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota will all have to take their opportunities from the bench as their long-term future remains in doubt.
Verdict: Salah, Diaz, Gakpo
Starting XI: Alisson, Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk (C), Robertson, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szoboslzai, Salah, Diaz, Gakpo
Bench: Kelleher, Quansah, Tsimikas, Alexander-Arnold, Endo, Jones, Elliott, Nunez, Jota
