Lloyd Kelly is set to move to Italy.
There had been ongoing claims this month that a transfer to Juventus could be on.
Now it very much appears to be actually happening, with universal reporting (see below) saying that a deal is now being finalised.
With actually some reporting from certain Italian journalists, claiming that it is a done deal.
The reporting on the English side of things all seems to agree that Lloyd Kelly is going to join Juventus, that it is an initial loan but with an obligation to buy at a figure of £15m. With only payment terms to be agreed, although this could have been finalised since this reporting late on Saturday night.
A fair few English/British players have headed to Serie A in recent times, especially defenders. The likes of Kyle Walker, Fikayo Tomori and Chris Smalling, as well as striker Tammy Abraham and midfielder Scott McTominay.
Now Lloyd Kelly set to follow them.
‘Juventus and Newcastle United are close to agreement on a loan deal for Lloyd Kelly.
The centre-back who joined Newcastle as a free agent after leaving Bournemouth in the summer has only made 13 appearances and is due to move to Turin on an initial loan with obligation to buy at £15million – but the two parties were still locked in discussions over payment terms gone midnight heading into Sunday.’
