Manchester United had numerous players in action on a busy Saturday of football.
Rhys Bennett had a disastrous afternoon for Fleetwood Town as he scored an own goal in a 0-4 home defeat against Swindon Town.
The defender has been in superb form lately but had one of his poorest afternoons for the Cod Army.
He was slightly unfortunate for his own goal as the ball flashed across the area and he ended up sliding it into the net after 75 minutes.
Bennett did make 5 clearances and two interceptions in the match but also picked up a yellow card in the first half. He also won four out of his five ground duels.
He is usually strong in the air but the Youth Cup-winning captain of 2022 only won one aerial duel all afternoon. The 21 year old struggled to stop a rampant Swindon attack and he could only make one tackle all match.
Marcus Rashford made an appearance off the bench for Aston Villa as they beat Nottingham Forest 2-1.
He played the final 28 minutes of the match and his biggest moment came when he had a shot clawed away by the Forest keeper.
The 27 year old only managed nine passes in the time he was on the pitch, but one was credited as key. The United academy product also lost the two ground duels and two aerial battles that he competed in.
Tyrell Malacia came on for the final 23 minutes of PSV Eindhoven’s 3-1 victory over Groningen.
The fullback made all 12 of his passes and he also won his only ground duel of the match. He also helped his side protect their lead by making two clearances.
Joe Hugill came on for the final 10 minutes of Carlisle United’s vital 3-2 victory over Newport County.
He almost added a fourth for his side when he hit the woodwork late on. Apart from that, he struggled to influence the game as he did not attempt a pass and only had three touches of the ball during his time on the pitch.
Ethan Wheatley also got a rare outing for Walsall as he played the final 16 minutes of their 2-3 defeat to Port Vale.
He didn’t manage a single pass and only had two touches of the ball. He also lost both of his aerial duels.
Finally, James Nolan came on in the second half for Inverness Caledonian Thistle as they impressively beat Cove Rangers 3-0 away from home.
