Bruno Fernandes isn’t going anywhere amid rumours linking him with Real Madrid, Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has insisted.
With United planning to sell several first-team players to balance their finances and meet Premier League rules, rumours about who could leave are swirling, with big names like Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, and Alejandro Garnacho all linked to exits.
But Fernandes is staying put. The 30-year-old has been key to United's recent success, racking up 32 goal contributions this season, including seven goals and three assists in his last 7 matches.
“He’s not going anywhere.” Amorim told reporters ahead of his side's clash with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night.
"[How can we convince him to stay?] That is the challenge. I want Bruno here. We want to win the Premier League again, we want the best players with us. He’s still so young because he plays 55 games every season.
"Between assists and goals, he’s there for 30 at least. He’s the player we want here, he’s not going anywhere. We are in control of the situation. I feel that he’s really happy here. He understands what we want to do.
"He’s one more supporter of Manchester United, he really feels it. Sometimes the frustration that you see is a sign that he wants it so bad. This is the kind of player we want. He’s not going anywhere – because I already told him."
