This month, journalist Laurie Whitwell noted that Manchester United haven’t ruled out including Alejandro Garnacho in their bid to secure Paris Saint-Germain transfer target Victor Osimhen.

On the Inside United podcast, Whitwell shared that Manchester United are keen on bringing Osimhen to Old Trafford. Napoli previously showed interest in Garnacho, so a swap deal could be on the table.

“In terms of what they want from a striker, I think Osimhen would fit that bill,” Whitwell said.

“So I wonder what happens there. The only thing is, Napoli, how much would they want for him? And would some kind of transfer swap make some kind of sense? Obviously, they’ve been interested in Alejandro Garnacho already. I wouldn’t rule out something like that potentially.”

GIVE ME Sport, citing sources, reports that Manchester United are waiting to gauge interest in Garnacho despite Ruben Amorim’s change of stance on his playing time. While the club continues to monitor his performances due to concerns about his fit in the system, potential buyers may not be willing to meet their valuation.

Although Manchester United are not under immediate pressure to sell, with the Argentina international still under contract for three more years at £50,000 per week, sources indicate they are open to letting him leave if the right offer comes in.

Osimhen has been in top form this season, netting 26 goals and adding five assists in 30 appearances across all competitions. According to GIVE ME SPORT, Manchester United have made him a priority target and could trigger his €75 million release clause this summer.

Turkish journalist Yagız Sabuncuoglu recently reported that Manchester United and PSG have made official approaches for Osimhen. Both clubs have submitted verbal offers outlining salary and contract terms, with plans to activate his release clause. Meanwhile, Galatasaray manager Amorim is also keen to bring him in.
