Manchester City have named their asking price for Maximo Perrone amid interest from Inter Milan ahead of the summer transfer window, as per a new report.

Perrone has spent the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Serie A side Como and has made quite the impression in defensive midfield under Cesc Fabregas, who played for Pep Guardiola at Barcelona.

Como have expressed a desire to extend Perrone’s stay and exercise an option to keep the 22-year-old within Fabregas’ ranks for the 2025-26 season, with little chance of any meaningful first-team minutes for the Argentine at Manchester City anytime soon.

Guardiola has seen Ballon d’Or winner Rodri return to first-team training in recent weeks and with a wide array of options in midfield, Perrone is highly unlikely to be called back to Manchester by the 2023 treble winners.

A signing from Velez Sarsfield, Perrone spent pre-season with Manchester City last summer before joining Como and after a stellar campaign with the Italian outfit, reports this week have detailed that Como want to keep hold of the talented midfielder for another season.

City will be keen to progress Perrone’s development and after a breakthrough campaign under Fabregas, it is likely the Blues will loan their midfielder back to the Serie A side for another year as they look to rebuild in the summer under the stewardship of incoming sporting director Hugo Viana.

As reported by SpazioInter and relayed by Sport Witness, Inter Milan are interested in signing Perrone for the upcoming campaign as it remains to be seen if Manchester City could sanction a loan or permanent deal for the Argentine.

It is understood that Manchester City would allow Perrone to join Inter permanently should they be offered €15 million for the midfielder, who has a long-term contract at the Etihad Stadium but is probably poised never to actually make the cut under Guardiola at City.
