Manchester United are open to significant offers for Marcus Rashford in the upcoming transfer windows – and could be prepared to sell in January.
Rashford has shown positive signs during the opening weeks of Ruben Amorim’s tenure but the club are considering his sale to ease financial concerns.
The 27-year-old’s status as a homegrown player and as one of the club’s highest-paid players mean his sale has not been ruled out. According to Sky Sports, his exit would give United ‘more room to manoeuvre in the transfer market’.
United are planning an overhaul under Amorim, who arrived from Sporting Lisbon last month. The Red Devils spent around £200m on new signings in the summer but have endured their worst-ever start to a Premier League campaign. It was this week announced that Dan Ashworth has left his role as sporting director, just five months after his arrival at Old Trafford.
Rashford could be the next big name to leave. He has scored seven goals in 23 appearances across all competitions this season, but has been unable to replicate the performances of a career-best 2022/23 across the last 18 months. After scoring 30 goals in all competitions during that campaign, he has netted just 15 since the start of last season.
Paris Saint-Germain are long-term admirers of the player and could renew their interest. The French champions failed to sign a direct replacement for Kylian Mbappe last summer, while there are doubts over the future of Randal Kolo Muani.
