Marmoush focused on Frankfurt despite Arsenal links | OneFootball

Omar Marmoush has said he is focused on ‘achieving something big’ with Eintracht Frankfurt despite links to Arsenal.

The 25-year-old is understood to be a transfer target for Arsenal and other Premier League clubs after an explosive start to the Bundesliga campaign.

Marmoush has scored 13 goals and laid on seven assists in 15 appearances, with only Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah having been involved in more goals across Europe’s top five leagues.

His performances have attracted attention from Europe’s elite, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United among the clubs named as suitors.

Marmoush could be subject of offers from England after the opening of the January transfer window. However, the forward said his focus is only on success with Eintracht Frankfurt, who he is keen to repay for their ‘trust’. Marmoush signed for Frankfurt on a free transfer from Wolfsburg in 2023 and has since scored 35 goals in 65 games for the German side.

“There’s always a lot of speculation on the outside. But I don’t actually have a particular dream goal,” the Egypt international told German publication Sport Bild.

“What I can promise the fans is that I will give my all for Eintracht in every game. I am not thinking about a transfer. I am living in the here and now and enjoying my time in Frankfurt.

“Eintracht believed in me and put their trust in me. I want to repay that trust with good performances and goals. What happens in the distant future, however, doesn’t interest me. I want to continue to do my best so that at the end of the season we can say as a team: We have achieved something big.”
