Mathys Tel wants to join Manchester United in the summer transfer window | OneFootball

According to BILD journalist Christian Falk, Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel (19) would like to join Manchester United in the summer transfer window. The Frenchman is currently on loan at Tottenham Hotspur as the North London club secured a deal to sign him on deadline day.

Spurs weren’t the only Premier League club who showed an interest in Tel during the winter window. Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Aston Villa were also in talks with Bayern over the potentiality of a loan move. It emerged that the former Rennes attacker wanted to move to Old Trafford, but the loan fee demanded by the Bundesliga outfit saw a potential deal collapse.

In Tottenham’s hands

Despite the 19-year-old’s desire to move to Manchester United if the opportunity arises in the summer transfer window, Tel’s future lies in the hands of the club he is currently on loan with. In the deal agreed with Munich, Spurs have a purchase option of €60m to make the France U21 international’s stay in North London permanent.
