Kylian Mbappe completed his dream transfer to Real Madrid as a free agent last summer and is now one of the protagonists of Carlo Ancelotti’s project.
However, he was the poster boy of Paris Saint-Germain not too long ago and it is impossible to make a conversation about Mbappe without bringing up the topic of his PSG days.
The player, after all, rose to fame with the Parisiens and even played with a dream team including Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos and Neymar Jr. during his time there.
Speaking to the media in an interview, the Real Madrid superstar and former PSG star spoke on the sheer absurdity of the team he played with in Paris especially considering that he was alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar.
“We gathered players who only come together on PlayStation. It’s true that we didn’t win the Champions League, but we made so many kids’ dreams [come true].”
“Football is a fixed-term contract, but people are a permanent contract,” he added on the bond he shared with his former teammates.

The French winger then went on to comment on how Qatar had a key role to play in the rise of PSG and how he was privileged to be a part of that side.
“It’s true that Qatar made PSG a great club. PSG was always a great club that attracted big stars, but they took it to another level and ‘invited’ PSG to sit at the table with the greatest, and that’s the truth.”
“I never trivialized the place where I was, of course, I understood where I was but I never thought of it as something common or ordinary. We had an exceptional team and players,” he added.
Finally, Mbappe was asked about how life was as a public figure and the stardom that came with his footballing success.
“There is the Kylian that I am, who is a simple guy, but there is also the Kylian and what he represents, the Kylian that belongs to everyone.”
“And this is like that even on the streets of Neuilly, when someone walks his dog and ‘the grandmother who goes for his baguette’ bothers him,” he added.
