Manchester United have had a tough Premier League campaign, picking up only 23 points after 20 games.

The club recently ended a four-match winless streak with an impressive 2-2 draw at Liverpool.

They outplayed Arne Slot’s side, and Harry Maguire squandered a clear-cut chance to win the game at the death.

Marcus Rashford was not part of the squad due to illness, but he may have already made his last United appearance.

TuttoMercatoWeb claims the England international has been offered to several European clubs, including AC Milan.

The Rossoneri, now managed by Sergio Conceicao, would have ‘no problem’ paying his wages on a short-term loan.

The Milan giants could make a formal approach for his services in the coming days.

The big question remains whether their project will be the most attractive for the Red Devils graduate.

Rashford loan exit would be the best solution

The 27-year-old was dropped for the Manchester derby last month. He subsequently did not make the squad for the next three matches.

Rashford was back with the team for the 2-0 league loss to Newcastle United, but Amorim decided against using him as the fifth substitute.

It is pretty clear that the forward is not in the manager’s plans.

Rashford’s favourite position is on the left wing. That option no longer exists with the wing-back system under Amorim.

The Englishman, described as ‘unstoppable‘ by manager Erik ten Hag, does not have the defensive awareness to operate at left wing-back.

He has barely played as a number 10 in his career. Rashford could be a striking option, but Amorim has other plans.

Rasmus Hojlund is the regular starter up front, with Joshua Zirkzee as the back-up.

The manager is reportedly keen on bringing Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP to Old Trafford. With this in mind, Rashford is surplus to requirements.

A loan deal would be ideal for the Red Devils. Rashford’s valuation could increase if he were to succeed with Milan.

United may still need to hand him a pay-off next summer to accept a salary reduction for a permanent transfer.
