Mohamed Salah is one of the best footballers in the world, and in the form he is in, some say he's ahead of all the rest.
With his influential seat of power on Liverpool's right flank, the Egyptian star has carved out a legacy on the red half of Merseyside that is up there with the greats of yesteryear.
That legacy was buffed once more tonight when Salah hit his 50th goal in the Champions League, calmly converting from the spot after Luis Díaz was judged to have been fouled by Donny van de Beek in the box.
His goalscoring exploits in Europe's top competition (including qualifiers) not only came for Liverpool but former employers Roma as well as Basel.
Salah now sits on 28 goal contributions for the season, the most of any player in Europe's top five leagues and nine clear of Manchester City's Erling Haaland.
While debate rages on whether or not Salah is the best player in the Premier League, he quietly continues to turn up when his club needs him the most, and on the biggest stages.
