Moretto: Milan in talks over contract renewal for Futuro star – the latest | OneFootball

Davide Bartesaghi has been an important player for Milan Futuro this season and according to a report, AC Milan are now working on a renewal. Negotiations are underway and it seems an agreement won’t be a problem.

Having taken the step from the Primavera to Milan Futuro for this season, Bartesaghi has made 22 appearances for the team. It would have been even more if it hadn’t been for the fact that he has been called up to the first team several times, more specifically 18 times.

It’s not exactly a surprise that Milan want to renew the left-back’s contract. According to Matteo Moretto, talks are ongoing and although not mentioned by the journalist, the feeling is that there will be no issues with finding an agreement.

Bartesaghi’s current contract will expire in 2026 and it thus makes sense to renew it, even if the player might not have any desire to leave now. For next season, a loan spell in Serie B or even A could do him well, especially since it likely will remain difficult to get time with Milan’s first team.

He has been called up for tonight’s game against Empoli, though, and perhaps he could get some minutes off the bench as we also saw against Parma.
