From various Serie A teams to Leicester City and Ajax, many clubs are showing an interest in signing Inter Milan striker Sebastiano Pio Esposito.
This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They report that Inter’s plan remains to loan the 19-year-old out again next season.
This has been a real breakout campaign for young Inter striker Pio Esposito.
Last campaign, Esposito had his first season in senior football, on loan at Spezia.
That was a positive experience, as playing at that level was necessary for the teenager’s growth. But he struggled for goals in Serie B.
That’s certainly not the case this time out, though. Pio Esposito is second in the Serie B scoring charts with nine goals to date.
Now the question is what’s next for Pio Esposito.
It seems very clear that the Italian under-21 international is ready for top flight football.
And more than likely, that will come in Serie A.
If Spezia were to win promotion, then it is very probable they’d keep Pio Esposito for a third consecutive season on loan.
On the other hand, if the Ligurians stay in Serie B, there’d be no shortage of top flight suitors for Esposito.
All of Bologna, Como, Parma, Torino, and Empoli have recently scouted the 19-year-old, notes FCIN.
Therefore, there are a number of viable loan destinations in Serie A.
If Inter do decide to listen to offers outright for Pio Esposito, there are a few clubs showing an interest.
Napoli have made no secret of the fact that they consider the 19-year-old a target.
And then from abroad, reports FCIN, both Leicester City and Ajax are keen on Pio Esposito.
