Napoli eye move for Man United flop Rasmus Hojlund

Napoli are ready to offer Manchester United an escape route for struggling striker Rasmus Hojlund, but only if the Red Devils are willing to take a financial hit, according to talkSPORT.
Man Utd signed Hojlund for £72 million from Atalanta under Erik ten Hag but he has failed to make an impact at Old Trafford.
The Danish forward has endured a torrid run of 16 games without a goal, casting serious doubts over his long-term future at Man United.
Last season was allowed as an adaptation period, but he has not kicked on this term, with only two league goals in 21 appearances for Man Utd. He has registered a measly seven goals and one assist in 33 outings this term, which is not good enough.
He has shown glimpses of his talent, like when he bagged a brace against Bodo/Glimt, leading Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim to praise him as a ‘quality player’.
Unfortunately, the Portuguese tactician is yet to be convinced that Hojlund is the right No.9 to lead United forward.
Despite his struggles in the Premier League, Hojlund’s reputation in Italy remains intact, with Napoli keen to bring him back to Serie A.
However, the Italian giants are only willing to pay a fraction of what Man United shelled out last summer, leaving the hierarchy with a tough decision – offload the misfiring striker for a loss or persist with him and hope for a turnaround in form.
A potential swap deal has been floated. However, it would likely be too complicated to pull off.
With Man United desperate for a reliable goal scorer and Napoli seeking a replacement for Osimhen, it makes little sense for the Red Devils to cling to Hojlund.
Instead, United’s transfer team should be pushing for Osimhen – a proven striker who could finally provide the firepower they have lacked. If Napoli want Hojlund, United should use that interest to their advantage.
