Alejandro Garnacho’s future ‘remains open’ amid interest in the Manchester United winger from Chelsea and Napoli.
Garnacho is subject of interest from rival clubs heading into the final week of the January transfer window. Manchester United are not actively looking to sell the 20-year-old but will consider signifiant offers for the player to raise funds for Ruben Amorim.
Chelsea made contact with the Red Devils last week to discuss the potential conditions of a deal. The West Londoners are expected to return for further talks in the coming days.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Napoli are also ‘pushing’ to sign Garnacho this month. Antonio Conte had a ‘direct call’ with Garnacho on Friday in a bid to convince the Argentine to move to Naples. Napoli have made Garnacho their number one target to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has completed a €70m move to Paris Saint-Germain.
United are understood to have rejected a £40m bid from Napoli and will demand a significant increase on that fee to part with the player.
Garnacho has scored 23 goals in 118 appearances since breaking into the Manchester United side. However, he has struggled to win favour with new head coach Amorim and was dropped for the Manchester Derby last month.
