Barcelona have taken a significant step forward in managing their financial situation, as the club has officially reinstated the 1:1 salary cap rule, reports SPORT.
This development means the Blaugrana are no longer restricted under the previous regulations, allowing them to operate freely in the upcoming winter transfer market.
This move was essential for the registration of players like Olmo and Pau Victor, an objective Barcelona had been pursuing since 30 December.
Behind the scenes, President Joan Laporta and his team worked tirelessly to ensure this outcome.
Their efforts extended late into the night, reportedly continuing until 12:10 a.m., as they negotiated with La Liga to facilitate the registration of the two players.
Fortunately, La Liga has now confirmed that Barcelona have successfully entered the 1:1 rule after presenting all the necessary documentation regarding the sale of VIP boxes.

The financial boost from this sale, which amounts to approximately €60 million, played a crucial role in helping Barcelona comply with LaLiga’s economic regulations.
A portion of this income has already been paid, enabling the club to meet the league’s requirements. With this hurdle cleared, optimism has grown within the club about registering both Olmo and Victor without further complications.
However, the process is not entirely complete. The primary challenge now lies with the legal procedures.
While La Liga has recognised Barcelona’s compliance with economic regulations, it has flagged the case to the Spanish Football Federation’s legal department.
The Federation must now evaluate the situation and address the nuances surrounding the deregistration of the two players.
Barcelona’s legal team has already submitted their arguments to the Federation, aiming to resolve the matter swiftly.
The club remains confident that a resolution will be reached soon, possibly by this weekend or early next week, allowing Olmo and Victor to be officially registered again.
