Osasuna made the trip to the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán last night as they took on Sevilla in an effort to enter the European spots in La Liga.
Although they had a decent performance, holding the Andalucian side to a 1-1 draw, the Pamplona club received bad news on the injury front. Winger Bryan Zaragoza came off in the 77th minute.
The club has today announced on social media that the 23-year-old has suffered a fracture in his right foot, in the fifth metatarsal or the bone that connects to the little toe.
The club announced that he will now return to Pamplona, where he will begin recovery. The recovery will best-case scenario be around six to eight weeks if everything goes smoothly, but in most cases, players can be out for about three months.
This is a massive blow for Osasuna, as Zaragoza has been one of the club’s best players for attacking output, leading the way with five assists so far this season.
Everyone at GSFN wishes Bryan a speedy recovery and hopes to see him back on the pitch soon.
