Jess Park scored the only goal of the match as England beat world champions Spain in a UEFA Nations League clash at Wembley.

Our 23-year-old tapped home in the first half for her second goal in an England shirt to move Sarina Wiegman's side top of Group 3 of League A after two matches.

She was then replaced shortly after the hour mark by Chloe Kelly to bring the curtain down on an excellent international break for our attacking midfielder.

Laia Aleixandri played 84 minutes for Spain, while Leila Ouahabi was introduced in the second half.

After a draw against Portugal last week to begin the campaign, England now have four points.

Meanwhile, Spain sit in third with three points after Portugal defeated Belgium.

Elsewhere, Lily Murphy helped England Under-19s to a penalty shootout win over the Netherlands to round off their involvement in the Albir Garden Tournament.

The forward came off the bench in Spain to help the Young Lionesses over the line, with the game finishing 1-1 after normal time.

It ensured Lauren Smith's side rounded off the international break on a positive note, having beaten the United States and lost to Spain in their other friendly fixtures.

The international break will draw to a close with the end of the SheBelieves Cup through the early hours of the morning, with Japan facing USA and Australia up against Colombia.

We’ll have roundups on mancity.com and our official app on Thursday morning.
