Power Rankings are back with big wins for PSG and Inter Milan, plenty of changes, and two returning entrants.

Here are the 10 sides in our updated Power Rankings table.

10. Sporting Lisbon (🆕)

Sporting CP rejoin our Power Rankings with the Primeira Liga title race an all-time classic.

Sporting and Benfica are neck and neck with just two games to go, with the former leading their Lisbon rivals by a narrow goal difference margin. Across their last 10 games in all competitions, each have won nine and drawn one.

The teams meet in a gargantuan showdown this weekend.

9. Roma (👍 Last week: 10)

Roma just keep getting the job done under Claudio Ranieri.

The veteran coach has guided I Giallorossi to a 19-game unbeaten run in Serie A, with the capital club last tasting defeat before Christmas. It’s taken Roma from the lower reaches to within touching distance of Champions League qualification in an impossibly tight battle.

Roma are outside the top four on goal difference, though just one point separates Juventus in fourth and Bologna in seventh. At the weekend, Ranieri’s men edged out a Fiorentina side who have not given up their own Champions League ambitions. Artem Dovbyk’s goal earned a 1-0 win, their sixth 1-0 win in their last eight games.

8. Napoli (🆕)

Napoli return to the Power Rankings table as the Scudetto appears within sight.

Inter’s recent blip has allowed Napoli to take control of the title race, and Antonio Conte’s side are refusing to let their lead slip. Giacomo Raspadori’s goal earned a 1-0 win at Lecce at the weekend, a fourth consecutive Serie A win without conceding a goal.

Three points ahead with three to go, it’s Napoli’s to lose.

7. Real Madrid (👎 Last week: 6)

Real Madrid drop down a place this week, despite beating Celta Vigo at the weekend.

A soon-to-be-revealed side’s leapfrog into the top three pushes down the pack, with Real a casualty of that climb.

The Spanish champions are refusing to give up their La Liga title without a fight and turned on the style to race into a 3-0 lead against Celta. Arda Guler’s beauty and Kylian Mbappe’s double put the home side in control, though Carlo Ancelotti’s side were forced to survive a late fightback.

6. Manchester City (👎 Last week: 5)

Manchester City kept on course for the Champions League with a 1-0 win over Wolves.

Kevin De Bruyne’s farewell tour had another hit on Friday night football, as the Belgian’s goal proved the difference at the Etihad. A tricky banana skin navigated for Pep Guardiola, against a Wolves side who had won six on the bounce heading into that contest.

5. Bayern Munich (👎 Last week: 4)

Bayern Munich are the champions of Germany again.

Vincent Kompany’s side earned the point needed to clinch the championship after a thrilling six-goal draw with RB Leipzig. Harry Kane has finally won a major team honour, while Kompany has become the first black manager since Frank Rijkaard in 2005/06 to win a major European league. In his debut season, Kompany has broken new ground.

4. Liverpool (👎 Last week: 3)

Liverpool suffered a title-winning hangover at the weekend as the newly-crowned champions lost at Chelsea.

Arne Slot’s rotated Reds were second-best at Stamford Bridge, not that it has much bearing on their celebrations.

3. Inter Milan (👍 Last week: 7)

Inter Milan rocket up the Power Rankings table after a stunning success this week.

Simone Inzaghi’s side are into the Champions League final after beating Barcelona in a European epic. Seemingly down and out after Raphinha’s 87th-minute goal for the visitors, Francesco Acerbi’s stoppage-time goal forced extra time, before Davide Frattesi found a winner in the added period.

Inter march on after a 7-6 aggregate win in one of the greatest Champions League semi-finals ever.

2. Barcelona (👎 Last week: 1)

Barcelona’s broken treble dream sees the Spaniards slide to second.

The Catalans came back from two goals down to lead at Inter with just seconds to go, but collapsed late on to lose. It’s a bitter blow for Barca, but their exciting young team will come again.

1. Paris Saint-Germain (👍 Last week: 2)

Paris Saint-Germain are one win from an elusive Champions League success after beating Arsenal to reach the final.

Luis Enrique’s side were the better team over two legs and, perhaps, have been Europe’s best since the turn of the year. The Parisians will face Inter Milan later this month in a contest that the world will stop to watch. Their treble dream is alive and well.
