This past summer, Paris Saint-Germain evaluated several No. 9 options to strengthen their attack for the 2024-25 season, with Aston Villa’s talented Jhon Durán among those on their radar.
Last month, Eduardo Burgos of Diario AS revealed that Bayern Munich and PSG made offers for Durán during the summer transfer window. However, Aston Villa turned them down, with manager Unai Emery seeing him as a future star.
Interest in Durán extends beyond PSG and Bayern Munich. A recent report from Fichajes reveals that Arsenal and Barcelona are also monitoring the young forward as the 2025 transfer windows approach.

According to Fichajes (h/t TEAMTalk), PSG are targeting Durán in the upcoming January transfer window. Reports suggest that the Ligue 1 side are prepared to move Gonçalo Ramos, who cost the Parisians €65 million, to make room for the Villa forward.
The French club’s decision appears to stem from Ramos’s limited impact this season, prompting a possible shift towards Durán.
TEAMTalk adds that Villa are expected to demand around £80 million for Durán, meaning PSG will likely need to invest beyond the potential proceeds from a Ramos sale.
Ideally, PSG would prefer a deal that aligns with financial regulations without significant extra spending, but that option doesn’t seem feasible at the moment.
