Paris Saint-Germain’s Milan Škriniar (29) is expected to make a move this January, however, unlike reports coming out of Turkey, a transfer to Galatasaray has yet to be agreed, according to L’Équipe.
The Slovakia international has fallen down the pecking order at Luis Enrique’s Les Parisiens with club captain Marquinhos and Willian Pacho partnering up most of the time at the back. With Presnel Kimpembe and Lucas Hernandez returning from injury and Lucas Beraldo also part of the PSG squad, Škriniar is expected to remain out of favour with the Ligue 1 champions.
Having played just five games all season, accumulating 381 minutes of playing time, none of which have come in the UEFA Champions League, Škriniar is open to leaving PSG, unlike in the summer when he was keen to make the transfer work.
But Škriniar does not want to rush his decision. Galatasaray are interested in the defender, however, there is not yet an agreement in place, despite ongoing talks. There is also interest from the Premier League, L’Équipe understands, although no clubs have been named. He would like to have made a decision before 2nd January – the day that PSG are expected back at training after their short winter break.
