PSG’s Nuno Mendes wants to join Ruben Amorim at Manchester United | OneFootball

According to a report from Foot Mercato, Nuno Mendes (22) is very keen to reunite with former Sporting head coach Ruben Amorim at Manchester United.

The French outlet notes that the Paris Saint-Germain fullback is not satisfied with his current salary conditions and is only under contract until 2026. As was reported previously, his contract negotiations with PSG hit a standstill in December.

However, Les Parisiens are not too worried as they believe that this is a normal part of negotiations and the club plans on continuing discussions with the fullback between now and the summer transfer window for a contract extension. Still, Mendes’s strong relationship with the current head coach of United could prove to be a sticking point for PSG.

Foot Mercato writes that there is no chance that Manchester United will try and persuade PSG to part with the Portuguese international in the current transfer window, although they will try next summer particularly if contract talks remain deadlocked.
