Marco Rose is expected to rotate his RB Leipzig squad heavily when they head to the Westfalenstadion for the Bundesliga Topspiel on Saturday evening.
The German tactician is expected to revert to his 4-2-2-2 with Loïs Openda and Benjamin Šeško coming back into the squad after the duo didn’t feature against St. Pauli in midweek, but that is if the former will be available with Rose stating in Friday’s press conference that he will make a late decision on the Belgian forward – it could be that he features off the bench.
Defensively, Lukas Klostermann and El Chadaille Bitshiabu are expected to lose their places with Castello Lukeba coming back into the squad while Lutsharel Geertruida and Benjamin Henrichs will provide the defensive width. Péter Gulácsi is also expected to return in goal.
Amadou Haidara will return to the starting lineup but it’s unclear as to who will start alongside the midfielder – Kevin Kampl could retain his place, or Arthur Vermeeren could return.
But one player that Rose and unbeaten RB Leipzig will be without is Xavi Simons. The Dutchman will be out for several weeks with ligament damage, and David Raum is also sidelined, but he could return for the game against Bayern Munich in December.
Péter Gulácsi – Lutsharel Geertruida, Willi Orban, Castello Lukeba, Benjamin Henrichs – Arthur Vermeeren, Amadou Haidara – Christoph Baumgartner, Antonio Nusa – Loïs Openda, Benjamin Šeško
