According to journalist Jorge C. Picon, Real Madrid’s legendary fitness coach, Antonio Pintus, has received an offer from Juventus, but the experienced Italian is expected to stay in Madrid, though likely not in his current role with the first team.

Over the past few weeks, there has been growing speculation about Pintus’ future, especially with Xabi Alonso set to take over as manager. The incoming coach is bringing in his own trusted staff, which naturally puts Pintus’ position under review.

Additionally, there have been murmurs of discontent among some players regarding his intense training methods, leading many to believe his time with the first team might be coming to an end.

New eole being discussed

Despite these uncertainties, Real Madrid do not plan to part ways with Pintus entirely. The club is reportedly looking into ways to retain him by offering a new role that removes him from the daily grind of first-team duties but still allows him to contribute behind the scenes.

Pintus has personally informed the dressing room about Juventus’ offer, which he received several months ago. The Italian club has been keen on bringing him back, but sources close to the situation say Pintus has made it clear that his top priority is to remain at Real Madrid.

He is open to a transition, and the club intends to respect his legacy by ensuring any change comes with the dignity and recognition he has earned over the years.

Club World Cup will be his final first-team task

All signs point to Pintus staying involved with the first team until the FIFA Club World Cup, which takes place next month.

After that, he will gradually step back, playing a supporting role during Alonso’s early days at the club. Given his deep understanding of the players’ physical data, he is seen as a valuable asset in helping Alonso settle in.

From August onward, a new approach will be introduced, with Ismael Camenforte-Lopez expected to take over as the main fitness coach.

While Pintus will no longer be the main man on the training ground, his influence at the club is set to continue in a quieter, more strategic capacity.
