FC Barcelona are still fighting for the three big titles at this late stage of the season, but in the meantime, the Catalans are also planning to strengthen their team in the upcoming summer transfer window.
For this purpose, the Blaugranes have been linked with several names in the last few months, but none of these operations seem to have reached any advanced stage for now.
However, one player who has been linked with them for a significant period of time is the German defender Jonathan Tah, who reportedly has already reached a verbal agreement with Deco to join Barcelona after the end of this season, when his contract with Bayer Leverkusen will expire.
But even in this case, it is not certain he will join the Catalan side, mainly because of the uncertainty surrounding the salary margin available to the Blaugranes. Both parties want to reach an agreement as soon as possible, but things beyond their control have kept them from being able to do so.

In such a context, SPORT reports that if there is no green light from Barcelona soon, Tah’s entourage will start looking at other alternatives for his future, and one of these alternatives could be Real Madrid.
The Merengues can come up as a significant threat to the Catalans in this operation. This would be particularly so if the current Bayer Leverkusen coach, Xabi Alonso, replaces Carlo Ancelotti on the Los Blancos’ bench.
The relationship between the Spanish coach and the defender is excellent, this can be Real Madrid’s wildcard in such an operation.
Furthermore, Bayern Munich also remain in his pursuit after internally having made the decision to do so. However, Jonathan Tah has already ruled out his continued stay at Bayer Leverkusen, and he will leave the German team after having spent the last 10 years in their ranks.
