Real Madrid returned to the top of the La Liga table, albeit momentarily, following a 2-1 win over Rayo Vallecano.
Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior were the two scorers for Los Blancos, which had to play out a gritty affair against Inigo Perez’s men.
In fact, after the match, Real Madrid have reported knocks to three key players, reports The Athletic journalist Guillermo Rai.
The three players in question are Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo – all key components in Real Madrid’s frontline.
Rai reports that Vinicius has a minor toe injury on his right foot whereas Bellingham suffered a minor bruise to his right thigh.

Rodrygo, meanwhile, suffered another blow to the metatarsal of his left hand. However, Rai adds that Rodrygo’s blow is not serious.
Knocks suffered by Vinicius, Bellingham and Rodrygo should raise alarm bells within the Real Madrid camp, considering the fact that Los Blancos take on Atletico Madrid in a few days time.
However, Rai clarifies that none of the three players has suffered any major injuries. As mentioned earlier, Rodrygo’s injury is not serious while both Vinicius and Bellingham’s knocks were minor bruises.
As such, Rai reports that Real Madrid expected all three to be available for the upcoming Euroderby second leg against Atletico Madrid, which will take place on Wednesday.
This could come as a major relief for Carlo Ancelotti, who has had to make many tough decisions due to an ongoing injury crisis at the Santiago Bernabeu this season.
