Real Madrid are looking towards a new winter defensive signing after the serious, season-ending injury to Eder Militao.
In fact, the Spanish capital club are already scouring the market, for their defensive situation is in dire need of new legs.
As relayed earlier this week, Al-Nassr’s Aymeric Laporte emerged as a serious option for Los Blancos and many in the club administration voiced for his incorporation for a plethora of reasons.
The question, however, has always been about the feasibility of the deal for reaching an agreement with his employers has always been the hurdle.
In a recent update, Mundo Deportivo have relayed that it is not very likely that the Spanish international will leave Al-Nassr and the Los Blancos are aware of the same.

The Saudi Arabian giants see the veteran defender to be one of their most important pillars alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane and are thus reluctant to even consider parting ways.
Further, they are under no pressure in an economic sense to facilitate a transfer and will thus persist with him irrespective of the pressure from Real Madrid.
The report furthers that Real Madrid are aware of the bottlenecks in Laporte’s signing and that they have reconciled to the fact that a transfer is unlikely.
The chance of a deal is as close to zero as can be.
Real Madrid will likely focus on other alternatives with names of Jorrel Hato and Castello Lukeba gaining weight recently while Jonathan Tah could also be a cost-effective option in January.
