At a time when Real Madrid are gearing up for a busy summer ahead, there are many first-team stars who are running the risk of finding themselves at the chopping block.
It was reported earlier that Real Madrid are open to listening to offers for both Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia this summer.
Another player who could face the heat is Arda Guler, who has yet to establish himself as a first-team regular for Los Blancos since joining the club.
Guler hasn’t had the best of relationships with coach Carlo Ancelotti. The Italian has often flagged the youngster’s lack of defensive prowess as one of the key reasons behind his lack of game-time at the club.
However, a recent report from Fabrizio Romano has suggested that Guler is considered a key project in Real Madrid’s long-term project.
This implies that the Spanish giants won’t be looking to get rid of the Turkish sensation in the coming summer.

Romano, in fact, points out that Real Madrid have rejected multiple offers from Guler, who was approached for both loan and permanent moves.
Even Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen had approached Guler, but their advances were rejected by Real Madrid.
Alonso’s interest in Guler is particularly interesting as it entails that the Spanish tactician is keen on having the young Turk under his wing.
The former Fenerbahce starlet, therefore, might just get lucky under Alonso, who is likely to become the next Real Madrid coach.
However, if the Turkish international wants to prove himself at Real Madrid, it will be integral that he finishes the current season on a positive note, especially in light of many injuries Real Madrid are dealing with right now.
