A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid was forced into a premature departure from the club’s latest outing, owing to a fitness issue.
That’s according to Marca, who point towards Brahim Díaz as the player in question.
Versatile attacker Brahim was for his part in from the off once more on Saturday, as Real Madrid made the trip to Seville for a La Liga meeting with Real Betis.
The Moroccan went on to open the scoring, but saw his goal in the end prove to be little more than a consolation in a 2-1 defeat.
Early in the 2nd-half, with his teammates in search of an equaliser, Brahim was then hooked from the action by boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Initially, it was thought that as much came as simply a tactical alteration, to make use of the altogether different profile of youngster Arda Güler.
As revealed by Marca, however, this was in fact not the case:
‘To Real Madrid’s problems we must add the discomfort Brahim suffered against Betis, which forced his substitution.’
It now remains to be seen if the former AC Milan man is cleared in time to play his part against Atlético Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
