According to a report by Jorge Picon, relayed via RM4 Arab, Real Madrid are not ruling out the possibility that Jude Bellingham may need surgery on his shoulder following the FIFA Club World Cup.
The midfielder, who has been pivotal for Los Blancos since his arrival, has been managing the issue for several months, but the club and the player are both aware that surgery might become inevitable at some point of time.
Bellingham first suffered a dislocated shoulder during a match against Rayo Vallecano in 2023. Since then, Real Madrid’s medical team opted for a conservative approach rather than surgery.
The plan included strengthening exercises, bandages, and the use of a shoulder brace to stabilise the joint. While this has allowed him to continue playing at a high level, the problem has never fully gone away.
Over the past year, Bellingham has repeatedly taken knocks to the same area, and while he has managed to push through, there is an underlying sense that things are not entirely stable.

The shoulder is reportedly holding up for now, but the longer the issue persists, the greater the risk of further complications, especially if another dislocation occurs.
At this stage, Bellingham continues to play using the shoulder brace, and both he and the club are committed to this short-term solution.
However, the medical staff is not discounting the idea of him going under the knife. The surgery would aim to provide long-term stability to the shoulder and eliminate the risk of recurring problems.
There is no set timeline for the procedure as of now, but sources indicate that the post-Club World Cup period could be a window to consider.
If Real Madrid feel confident in their squad depth and results allow for rotation, this could be the moment for Bellingham to take the necessary time off.
While fans will understandably be concerned, the positive takeaway is that the situation is being monitored closely, and any decision will be taken with the long-term benefit of both the player and the club in mind.
