Three leading members of the first-team setup at La Liga giants Real Madrid trained away from the rest of the club’s squad on Monday.

Real, of course, are fresh off a hugely disappointing result over the weekend.

After making the trip to Barcelona for a La Liga meeting with Espanyol, Los Blancos were ultimately condemned to the wrong side of a 1-0 result.

And the clash, it would appear, has had lasting effects beyond simply denting the title hopes of Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

This comes amid confirmation that none of Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham or Thibaut Courtois trained with their teammates on the grass on Monday.

The trio, instead, were put through specialised sessions inside the Valdebebas facilities.

None are thought to have suffered injuries of any form, with the measures taken by the Real Madrid coaching staff having simply been precautionary.

All should therefore be available for selection to face Leganés in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night.
