Manchester United are interested in Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, as per reports.
United delivered another shambolic display under Ruben Amorim over the weekend, as the Red Devils lost 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur, who themselves are enduring a terrible campaign.
This time, the biggest concerning area of the pitch for United was midfield, as Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes both lacked any resilience, understanding or cohesiveness to play in a midfield pivot.
Casemiro was handed a rare start in 2025 due to Manuel Ugarte’s absence. Further, by keeping the struggling Brazilian on the pitch until the stoppage time, Amorim underlined that he doesn’t trust the club’s academy options to make a difference at this point.
The Portuguese gaffer clearly needs a new midfielder and a report in Spain has thrown an interesting name into the mix.
According to Fichajes, United have “shown great interest” in Camavinga.
It is claimed the Premier League giants are looking to strengthen their side and see the Frenchman as “perfect opportunity” to add dynamism to their midfield.
It is understood that the Real star, who is tied to Santiago Bernabeu until the summer of 2029, “fits perfectly” into United’s transfer plans.
The 22-year-old is known for his composure in possession and impressive physicality that allows him to disrupt the play, akin to Paul Pogba.
However, he has failed to show his skill sets consistently for Los Blancos, leading to suggestion of his surprise exit.
The Spanish outlet claim that his performances have generated doubts within the club and now the Spanish outfit have opened the door to a possible exit.
Further, the club’s hierarchy are aware that his sale could raise plenty of funds. As such, Real president Florentino Perez would be willing to negotiate his transfer if a convincing offer is made.
