Long-serving Inter Milan CEO for corporate activities Alessandro Antonello is reportedly on the verge of joining bitter rivals Roma.
According to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, Antonello could assume a new role in the capital within days.
The 59-year-old landed at Giuseppe Meazza in 2015. Before that, he was working as the financial director of the German brand Puma for four years.
After the club appointed Beppe Marotta as CEO of the sports area six years ago, Antonello took another role in the hierarchy.
Indeed, he became CEO of the corporate area, helping Inter strengthen their position as a global brand.
Now, after almost ten years of faithful service, Antonello is ready to embark on a new career chapter.
He’ll replace Lina Souloukou, who resigned from her post earlier this season after falling out of favor with Roma fans.
The Giallorossi fanbase couldn’t forgive Souloukou for dismissing club legend Daniele De Rossi in September.
After being threatened by the ultras, she left the club, leaving the vacant spot Roma have been trying to fill ever since.
Fast forward a few months, they’ve persuaded Antonello to switch to the Stadio Olimpico and orechestrate the club’s international growth.
