AC Milan and Inter have shared San Siro since 1947, but talks of a different direction have been rife in recent years. It does not seem like a split will be happening, though.

The talk of stadiums has been ongoing for the past year, but there has been little progress, if any. Any talk of a new home has been forcibly doubt-ridden after years of hypotheses with no progress, but it seems things could be changing now.

In the past year, talk has been rife about San Siro and San Donato, but it seems things are heading towards the former option, which is somewhat ironic considering how the clubs opted against a renovation of the stadium initially.

Nevertheless, the proposition of staying put has been growing, and La Republicca’s Milan edition, relayed by Milan News, has stated that by the summer, the two clubs could be in control of the stadium, who will then renovate the stadium, which will include a large part of the ground being demolished.

In addition to this, a new stadium may be built next to it, with commercial and office spaces, parks, sports areas, a hotel and a museum also being built. The report suggests that the purchase will cost around €197 million for each club, and an official offer is expected by the end of February.
