Davide Frattesi is increasingly likely to leave Inter in January, with Roma proposing a Bryan Cristante exchange to get ahead of Napoli.
The Italy international has struggled for playing time and the situation has become too frustrating for him to let it continue.
His ideal would be a return to Roma, as he is a product of their youth academy and a lifelong supporter who was sold to Sassuolo for €14.6m in the summer of 2017.

Although Napoli are keeping a close eye on the situation, Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Roma are trying to find ways to lower the cost of the operation, which would be €45m.
This could involve using Cristante as part-exchange to Inter, someone more content to have a bit-part role at San Siro, as well as dropping into defence occasionally.
Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City have also been linked with a January approach for Frattesi, who is under contract with Inter until June 2028.
He made 22 appearances for the Nerazzurri this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
