Roma travel to Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League tonight protecting a narrow advantage.
Claudio Ranieri’s side snatched a stoppage-time winner at the Stadio Olimpico last week, to take the lead heading into tonight’s tie.
The Italians have reached at least the semi-finals of this competition in three of the last four seasons. After a torrid start to the campaign, Roma are one of the form teams in Europe. I Giallorossi have won six straight games in all competitions.
However, Roma face an Athletic Bilbao side who are fourth in La Liga and with ambitions of reaching the final, which will be played at tonight’s venue – The San Mames Stadium.
After rotation for the weekend win at Empoli, Ranieri is expected to bring back big hitters Artem Dovbyk and Paulo Dybala for tonight’s clash.
Leandro Paredes returns after missing the first leg through suspension, while Gianluca Mancini sat out a domestic ban at the weekend but is free to return. In terms of injuries, Zeki Celik is out with a thigh issue.
