A scout on the European scene has claimed that AC Milan are looking at Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra closely.

As is natural for a club of Milan’s size, there are observers places all around the continent if not the world trying to find the best upcoming talent, and already-established players who could come in and lend a hand.

On TMW Radio, during the ‘Maracanà’ segment, scout Marco Palma spoke about the rumours regarding three players that are currently being monitored by Italian teams. One of them is Valencia’s Guerra.

“Arrived at Valencia at the age of 18, a very modern player with great qualities, including enormous versatility,” he said.

“Capable of playing in multiple midfield roles, he is very good at playing as a mezzala and as a central defender in which he stands out both in the interdiction phase and in the build-up phase, where he shines with creativity and precision.

“[He is] Able to destroy the opponent’s game and great ability to turn the action around. High technical quality with both feet.

“Milan are following the evolution of this boy very carefully, who seems ready for nobler shores than those of Valencia. Comparable player: João Palhinha (Bayern Munich). Valuation: €20m.”

Back at the start of the summer transfer window, the 21-year-old was mentioned as a potential alternative to Youssouf Fofana, who ended up joining from AS Monaco.

Milan appreciate his quality and his reading of the game a lot, and the report added that they had had ‘exploratory contacts’ with his Italian intermediary.
