Fiorentina hope Christian Kouame and Yacine Adli can pick up where they left off and get a win for Edoardo Bove, but host an improving Cagliari side.

This has really not been a normal week for the Viola, as their match with Inter was abandoned after just 17 minutes when Bove collapsed with a medical emergency.

He remains in hospital and might be getting an implanted defibrillator, which if confirmed would mean he could no longer play football in Italy.

Bove is doing well and watched his teammates in the Coppa Italia midweek, where they lost on penalties to Empoli, but in Serie A they’ve won the last seven in a row.

Albert Gudmundsson is only fit for the bench, while Riccardo Sottil comes in for Bove in support of striker Kouame, as Moise Kean and Andrea Colpani are initially rested.

Cagliari have been improving lately, holding Milan and Genoa to draws before their crucial 1-0 victory over Hellas Verona.

That took them out of the drop zone and the only player not fully fit is Gianluca Lapadula.

Roberto Piccoli leads the attack with Nicolas Viola and Nadir Zortea, plus former Fiorentina defender Yerry Mina.
