Inter keep the pressure on Napoli and celebrate their Champions League exploits with victory away to Torino, decided by a sensational Nicola Zalewski effort and Kristjan Asllani penalty under a thunderstorm.
The Nerazzurri were still buzzing from their epic 4-3 extra time victory over Barcelona on Tuesday, setting up a Champions League Final with PSG on May 31. Lautaro Martinez, Benjamin Pavard, Davide Frattesi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were left at home, along with massive squad rotation. Toro missed Duvan Zapata, Alieu Njie, Perr Schuurs and Zanos Savva, but had Samuele Ricci back, while Cesare Casadei and Saul Coco were not fully fit.
The game was only a couple of minutes old when it was halted for five minutes so a Torino supporter in the Curva Maratona could receive medical assistance after falling.
Inter took the lead with a sensational goal from Zalewski, who was given a rare start in a new hybrid attacking role. The Rome-born Poland international first sold Gvidas Gineitis a dummy with an inspired back-heel flick, then cut inside and bent the right-foot finish into the far bottom corner from outside the area.

Matteo Darmian scuffed the angled drive sent through by Yann Bisseck and it was cleared in front of goal by Adam Masina, while Josep Martinez collided with Stefan de Vrij trying to deal with a Valentin Lazaro free kick.
Masina almost scored at the other end, volleying a corner off target from six yards, while nobody was ready to meet the Carlos Augusto pull-back under increasingly difficult conditions of rain and hail.
The referee eventually had to suspend the game for a few minutes, as the ball was not rolling or bouncing due to the large puddles.

Josep Martinez made an extraordinary one-handed reaction save on the Che Adams diving header from a Cristiano Biraghi cross.
There was another pitch inspection during the 30-minute half-time break before they decided play could continue.
Straight after the restart, Vanja Milinkovic-Savic made a save on the acrobatic Mehdi Taremi overhead kick, although it was offside anyway.
Moments later, Taremi ran onto the through ball and was brought down by Milinkovic-Savic. Kristjan Asllani sent the goalkeeper the wrong way, converting the penalty into the near bottom corner.

Federico Dimarco forced Milinkovic-Savic to use his legs to parry an angled drive after being sent through by Zalewski, while Alessandro Bastoni twice charged down Adams efforts in the area.
Milinkovic-Savic kept the scoreline down with a double save on Tucu Correa and Hakan Calhanoglu, set up by Denzel Dumfries off the bench.
Toro also went close, as the Nikola Vlasic strike was deflected to skim the upright, then Calhanoglu needed a desperate tackle from behind to stop Vlasic finishing off the Sergiu Perciun back-heel flick.
Taremi knocked down a cross for the Correa header, which Milinkovic-Savic palmed out from under the bar, while Dumfries charged down the powerful Biraghi left-foot volley.
Correa was again denied by the goalkeeper on a Dimarco pull-back from the left, then Calhanoglu drilled just wide on the rebound. In stoppages, Adams sliding in couldn’t steer his volley on target from a Biraghi cross.
Adam Masina did have the ball in the net at the 93rd minute with an acrobatic overhead kick, but only after shoving Asllani aside to create the space.
