Estevao Willian’s agent André Cury has revealed one of the main reasons behind the teenager deciding to sign for Chelsea.
The Blues agreed a deal worth up to £51.4m for the 17-year-old, who’s regarded as the biggest talent in South America.
The 17-year-old will join up with his new team-mates after the Club World Cup this summer and the expectation is he will go straight into the squad to compete for first team minutes.
The teenager is already a full Brazil international despite his tender years, and Chelsea are said to view him as a generational talent.
The attacker has established himself as one of the key players for Palmeiras and has 20 goals and ten assists in 59 appearances for the Brazilian outfit.
Estevao has broken records set by Neymar in the Brazilian league and Chelsea are said to have fought off interest from the likes of Bayern Munich to secure his signature.

Despite having interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs Cury has revealed one of the biggest factors in Estevao choosing Chelsea.
“It was the only club that saw us as number ten, to play in midfield,” he told Ge Globo.
“I may be wrong, but we will have the opportunity. I think we will be right, so that was also something that weighed heavily.”
As well as Estevao Chelsea have another of South America’s biggest talents in Kendry Paez also arriving in the summer.

The Blues also completed a deal for 17-year-old Sporting Lisbon winger Geovany Quenda last week and Chelsea are thought to now have three of the biggest talents in world football under the age of 18.
It’s important Chelsea provide Estevao with the right environment to thrive in and help him reach his full potential, but the Blues potentially have a future superstar on their hands.
