As reported by Gabriel Sans’ recent report in Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona currently has no plans to make any signings during the winter transfer window unless an urgent situation arises.
It is said that the club’s financial position is preventing them from strengthening certain areas of the squad that manager Hansi Flick could benefit from, such as two full-back positions and a central forward.
Instead, Barcelona intend to continue with their current roster for the remainder of the season and any decision will be taken towards the end of the campaign.
For now, the club feels that they have enough depth in each position to remain competitive across all four competitions they are involved in this year.
In addition, there are no plans to let any players go unless an offer is made that is too good to refuse.

Both the coach and the sporting management are against reducing the squad size, even though some players have expressed a desire to leave in search of more playing time.
This is the case for Ansu Fati and Eric Garcia, who are both struggling to get regular minutes on the pitch. Ansu, in particular, has only started one match so far, and injuries have kept him from being a consistent part of the lineup.
Despite this, there is ongoing speculation about his potential move to Sevilla, a club that has been linked with him.
Meanwhile, Garcia also finds it difficult to secure a place in the starting eleven, especially with the return of key players like Ronald Araujo.
His name has been frequently mentioned in connection with a potential transfer to Girona, but so far, no official steps have been taken by the Catalan club to facilitate his departure.
For now, Barcelona’s focus remains on sticking with the squad they have, aiming to finish the season with the players they currently rely on.
