Lamine Yamal has once again proven that age is just a number.

In one of his most impressive performances yet, the 17-year-old Barcelona sensation took control of the pitch against Inter Milan and showed exactly why he is considered one of the brightest young stars in Europe.

Despite being so young, Lamine played with a level of confidence and maturity that players much older often struggle to reach.

The Champions League semi-final clash against the Serie A side was supposed to be tough, and in reality, it certainly was.

Barcelona found themselves in trouble early on, conceding twice within the first 25 minutes. But rather than shrink under pressure, Yamal stepped up and carried the team on his back.

A look at Lamine Yamal’s numbers

This was not just another game for him as it was his 100th appearance for Barcelona, and he made sure to make it one to remember.

In the first half alone, he was everywhere. He scored the crucial equaliser that breathed life back into Barça, hit the crossbar twice, and kept the Inter defence on high alert throughout the match. His presence on the right wing was electric.

Yamal led Barça’s attack in nearly every meaningful way. He had the most shots (6), most dribbles completed (6), and the most crosses attempted (10).

He also made 102 actions with the ball—only Pedri (107) and Frenkie de Jong (112), both midfielders who naturally see more of the ball, had more. That is a remarkable feat for a winger.

On top of that, Yamal completed 46 out of 61 passes, created two chances, and managed two shots on target. Everything he did had a purpose, and more importantly, it gave hope to the team and the fans.

In a match filled with tension and high stakes, it was Barcelona’s youngest player who showed the most courage.
