Roma attacker Stephan El Shaarawy discussed the Giallorossi’s season of ups and downs and teased his new deal until 2026.

In an interview with Sport Mediaset, “It was a bit of a complicated start, a bit difficult, depending on several factors. First of all, however, an objective responsibility of us footballers because we certainly had to do something more.”

“But surely now with mister Ranieri we have found the right path to be able to go back up and start again,” he said.

“My current contract expires in June, but there is a renewal option that is tied to conditions that I have almost reached. So there would be no need for any proposal.”

“For now there is this automatic renewal option, then we will see what happens,” he added.

“The Conference League title? I definitely have an image that has remained in my mind: when we toured Rome on the open-top bus. My teammates and I raised the cup with the Colosseum behind us and all the people below us screaming and celebrating.”
