The Supercopa final in Chile will be concluded on Wednesday in quite incredible circumstances.
The fixture was originally slated for mid-February this year and did start before being suspended with 12 minutes remaining when fan unrest in the stands led to a fire breaking out in the stadium.
At the time of the game being officially abandoned, Colo-Colo led opponents Huachipato 2-0 and the fixture is now set to resume from 78 minutes and played to a conclusion today.
During the February fixture, former Barcelona, Juventus and Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal scored his side's second goal from the penalty spot.
However, several players who contested that fixture are now unavailable, meaning the game will finish with different players on the field for both sides and in a new venue too.
A long time for Colo-Colo to wait to get their hands on the trophy... provided there is no shocking collapse in the final 12 minutes, that is.
