Reports in Italy suggest Igli Tare is expected to sit down with Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani next week, resuming talks for the Rossoneri sporting director role.
The ex-Albania international is one of the candidates to become the Milan sporting director in 2025-26 and has already held talks with Gerry Cardinale and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

However, Milan owner Cardinale ultimately tasked Furlani with picking the new sporting director. According to Sky Sport Italia and Milannews, talks between the club CEO and Tare will resume next week.
Furlani already chose Fabio Paratici for the Milan sporting director role, but the ex-Juventus executive was ultimately dropped due to legal matters.
Milannews reports that Atalanta’s Tony D’Amico and Bologna’s Giovanni Sartori are unlikely candidates for Milan as they are unwilling to leave their clubs.
On the other hand, Tare is currently without a club, so he’d be free to join the Rossoneri and start building the team for next season as soon as possible.
