Signing a striker and winger will be the main priorities for Chelsea in the summer transfer window according to The Athletic.
The January window slammed shut on Monday night, with many supporters left disappointed by what’s been perceived as a poor window.
Chelsea signed 19-year-old Mathis Amougou from St Etienne for £12.5m, whilst Cesare Casadei was sold to Torino and five players were sent out on loan.
The Blues wanted to sign an attacker in January and were linked with a host of names including Mathys Tel, Alejandro Garnacho and Liam Delap.
Much to the frustration of supporters an attacker failed to arrive, and with Nicolas Jackson struggling in front of goal, a lack of an alternative could potentially cost Chelsea Champions League football.
It’s been reported the Blues laid a lot of groundwork in the window for potential deals in the summer, but only time will tell on that front.

Chelsea were said to have a five man shortlist of attacking targets, and it will be interesting to see how many of those actually arrive in the summer.
With the disappointment of not strengthening in January still fresh in the mind, The Athletic have reported that Chelsea’s priority for the summer is to sign a striker and winger.
With it unclear when Mykhailo Mudryk will play again given his positive doping test, the Blues are a man down, despite having talented youngster Tyrique George, as well as Brazilian wonder kid Estevao Willian arriving in the summer.
