We are in transfer deadline day, and there are some things going on right now and Chelsea might even find a new striker to sign.
A striker should be the priority for Chelsea but for some reason they have not accelerated with anything – I just find it odd.
There is lots of little bits and pieces going on right now on another winter transfer deadline day, and the movement of Joao Felix could effect other moves and situations. Felix could still join AC Milan this window.
Chelsea were looking to sign midfielder Nico O’Reilly from Manchester City this window but even that attempt looks to have dwindled away now, with attentions turning elsewhere.
So could Chelsea still bring in a new striker?
Our write Simon Phillips believes there is a slight chance still, but only under one scenario.

Phillips has written on his live blog on his Substack today:
‘Source also say the only chance we get to sign ‘an attacker’ today is if Joao Felix goes but goes ‘early’ today.’
So it sounds like with Felix progressing to AC Milan, then there could be a good chance that Chelsea then move to replace him with a new striker coming in, or an attacker as Phillips explains.
I think Chelsea need to get on this as soon as possible today because it is a very much needed position they need to address, but I hold out very little hope on it now to be honest.
