They couldn't have started again in a better way, after a two week break due to the international break and a pause from games in the Championship Round. At the PUMA House of Football, the Rossonere secured their second consecutive win, beating Fiorentina 5-3 and confirming a clear knack for gas and quality in this second phase of the league. It was an exhilarating match for Bakker's side, who controlled the game against our "bogey team" this season. We had not beaten the Viola in five matches before this afternoon - with Fiorentina beginning the afternoon as the team with the most points achieved in the Championship Round.

Evelyn Ijeh was unstoppable as she scored a brace in the first half, and then Arrigoni, Renzotti and Koivisto all scored in the space of 15 minutes in the second half. A mention should go to Renzotti, a product of the youth sector (the top scorer in the history of the Women's Primavera), as she bagged her first professional goal. Noemi Fedele made her first start for the Rossonere as Laura Giuliani was absent. The Rossoneri will be back in action on Good Friday (18 April) for the hardest fixture: an away trip to the leaders Juventus.

MATCH REPORT A lively start to the game, with chances in the 6th and 7th minute, but neither Dompig or Snerle could find the target. In the 13th minute, Ijeh won a one on one with Pederson, but her shot was blocked. Piga played in Sorelli in the 22nd minute, but Fiskerstrand denied the effort; the action continued with Mascarello who assisted Ijeh to make it 1-0. The Swede was boosted by the goal and scored again six minutes later: assisted by Dompig, Evelyn turned past Færge in the area and slotted home with her right foot. We went close to scoring in the 39th minute, as Dompig's cross was nearly converted by Renzotti. Just before the break, Fiorentina scored through Janogy, a left-footed shot in the middle of the area which Fedele could do nothing about.

The Viola were fighting after the break, but the Rossonere scored a third in the 48th minute. Giorgia Arrigoni got on the scoresheet once again (for the third time this season against the Viola): a curling right-footed shot which was deflected by Pedersen, and could not be reached by the goalkeeper. Bakker's side didn't let up and added another goal in the 53rd minute, as Renzotti led the counter and beat Durante as she came off of her line, to slot away her first professional goal. The fifth goal came just after the hour mark: Renzotti crossed and Arrigoni dummied the ball, allowing for Koivisto to slot home inside the six yard box. Fiorentina didn't let up. Janogy scored her second of the game in the 63rd minute, pouncing on Fedele's save to deny Bredgaard. The pace of the match began to lower following a hectic 15 minutes. In the 82nd minute, a somewhat lucky one two between Janogy and Della Peruta led to Janogy sealing a hat trick. The Rossonere continued to dominate and nearly came close to making it 6-3 through Karczewska and Marinelli before full-time.
